Required Eight (8) Hour NYS Pre-Assignment Course for Security Guards (initial training to get your license and start working) or annual Eight (8) Hour In-Service Training Course for Security Guards (required annual training for license renewal if you have one already).

Courses are taught by highly experienced NYS approved instructors from the Law Enforcement and Security fields.

Next dates for 8 Hour Class are afternoons: Tuesday, March 16th at 4 PM, and Tuesday March 30th at 4 PM in North Babylon (Suffolk County) location (near Sunrise Highway or the Southern State Parkway).

- Certificates required for licensing or license renewal will be issued after
successful completion of the one day course.

- Assistance provided to our students with applications for licensing.

- Effective January 1, 2010, pursuant to NYS regulations, applicants now will obtain fingerprints electronically from approved NYS fingerprint vendor. Locations for NYC/Long Island region and instructions will be provided to you.

Note: To get the initial security guard license, students must also send in the required fees to the NYS Department of State and the authorized electronic fingerprint vendor. Fees will total $142.00 as of January 1st 2010.
