Description

Required Eight (8) Hour NYS Pre-Assignment Course for Security Guards (initial training to get license) or annual Eight (8) Hour In-Service Training Course for Security Guards (required training for license renewal).

Courses are taught by highly experienced NYS approved instructors from the Law Enforcement and Security fields.

Two (2) dates currently available: Tuesday, January 12th 2010 or Tuesday January 26h 2010. Other dates available year round, and some more may be added in January.

10AM TO 6PM in North Babylon (Suffolk County) location. - Certificates required for licensing or license renewal will be issued after successful completion of the one day course.

- Assistance provided to students with applications for licensing.

- Effective January 1, 2010 applicants now will obtain fingerprints electronically from approved NYS fingerprint vendor. Locations for NYC/Long Island region and instructions will be provided to you.

COURSE FEE $50.00* (*see below for special rate categories)

*Special lower rate of $30 for the following categories: (A) local, state, or federal government employees, (B) active US military or reserve, (C) active volunteer FD or aux. police, (D) students or (E) honoraby discharged US military veteran.

Note: To get special rate, above Categories A, B, C, and D must produce ID on day of class; category E (veterans) must produce copy of DD-214 or regular rate will be charged. NO exceptions so please dont ask!

Note: To get the initial security guard license, students must also send in the required fees to the NYS Department of State and the authorized electronic fingerprint vendor. Fees will total $142.00 as of January 1st 2010.
